Taking a break. at 7000 ft elevation, I tend to run out of breath around 15 to 20 minutes. The Cell Phone reception in the area is hit-and-miss,  at best.  I'm sure reception will improve with time.

I worked all day on cleaning up the debris from the last visit. Cutting up all the trees that were felled last time, and raking up all the branches stacking everything into piles.

The land is starting to have a nice little clearing to start a foundation. This property is really starting to shape up.

Before I started cutting down trees, I measured out the space for the cabin. I laid down stakes and string to coincide with the dimensions on the plans. After 3 days work, I am now starting to see the corner markers and string. Very exciting stuff, I know!

Manzanita is thick and hard to cut up, good thing it is pretty.

OK, I have a lot of wood that needs to be cut up and split. Would anyone like to help?, don't be shy.

Stopped for a minute on the way home to snap off this shot of the lake with the temperature showing inside the car.  It was about 83 degrees at the property about 8 miles away.
